Books and Islands in Ojibwe Country

Follow Louise Erdrich, in her moving memoir, through the land of her ancestors: the Ojibwe people. As she moves from island to island, much like a reader moves through the pages of a book, we discover the Ojibwe culture: their traditions, their history, and their deep connection to nature, the land, and their sacred spirits. I was deeply moved by her poetic and committed writing, which encouraged me to reflect on identity and the power of books, especially in preserving and passing on language and culturethemes that are close to my heart.
